It’s one of Taiwanese wedding customs that bride prepares bride cake for everyone who is invited to the wedding.
Though nowadays western bride cake have become a popular choice, many people still focus their attention on Taiwanese traditional cake, I am one of them.
Therefore, I’m going to share with you a traditional Taiwanese wedding cake- snow white cake (白雪酥) from Long-fang bakery (龍芳餅店).
In Taiwan, most of bakeries make snow white cake with almond powder.
If you are like me, don’t like the taste of almond, you can find it without almond in Long-fang bakery.
Although its shape is a round white cake without any decoration, I don’t know why I feel it’s so pretty enticing.
Its major ingredients are dried milk, condensed milk, eggs, plant oil and sugar, etc.
With baking time and temperature adjustment, the cake is crisp on the outside, soft on the inside.
Once you take that first bite, your taste buds scream for more because the smell of milk flavor greeted you and you fall in love with it!
If you have a chance to come to Taiwan, you must try the cake.
You don’t have to go to a wedding to taste it. You can only buy one in Long-fang bakery.

1, You can show the picture to buy if shop clerk cannot communicate with you in English.
2, There are different flavors of Taiwanese traditional cakes except snow white cake in long-fang bakery, you can also try them.
3, I also recommend steamed meat bun with egg yolk there, it’s very delicious!
