山度窯烤麵包
位於蓬萊山上的八卦力部落，用麵粉、果乾及山泉水製作麵包，自然發酵後再以天然木柴作為燃料，燒窯烘烤麵包。費工的美妙滋味讓苗栗在地人千里迢迢也要來買。除了麵包，也有販售咖啡，門口還貼心地提供了戶外座位區，可以拿著麵包配咖啡，欣賞山區美景。

The breads here are all kiln-toasted. Without making orders in advance, you might come in vain. Breads with kumquat shreds and red beans, and those with cranberries are strongly recommended, which are my favorite. You also can't miss those with mango and macha.

Locating in the mountain that you must be there by self-drive and be searing much road signs made by the vendor. Because the GPS signal is poor. The bread is baked by local traditional way with good tasting.

Fair price, nice view and good atmosphere here. Recommend to sit outdoor if the weather is ok. It’s very relaxing and good is delicious. I ordered a set of 3 meats assorted and it came with a portion surprisingly more the I have ever seen for the price. Also with lots of vegetables. The appetizer is aboriginal style rice cake, very special and tasty. I would recommend to eat here rather than hotel restaurants.

Friendly service, good atmosphere, reasonable food. Only can comment on the waffle and french toast which were all ok but nothing special. The coffee was super dark and bitter but tolerable. Lovely views over the river but need to clean the windows!The strawberry beer was delicious. Recommend to try it.

Good food, the chicken leg is served with a generous serving of vegetables on a hot plate. Likewise the hot pot with chicken and cabbage is very welcoming in the chilly winter. The soup can be topped up. The restaurant sits near the river bank, giving a very tranquil scenery to enjoy your meal.

Always start the day at the hot springs and end up here. The most genuine and authentic family ran business in the area. The bibimbap is out of this world. The use a mountain pepper and it is just endless with flavor. We are from the United States. Ask for the English menu and it alone defines this restaurant.

Hot Pot Restaurant - For a simple meal, this is a great choice. Nice interior, beautiful view of a stream and good overall service and value. The 3 meats platter is especially recommended.

They have cafe and restaurant, we choose its restaurant not cafe due to cold weather. The food was amazing! Especially for its plain chicken, so good so that we finished it so quickly! I didn’t expect that this kind of Mountain View restaurant could provide such good taste of food! Perfect! It also has beautiful garden and natural view, good to have a cup of coffee to stay for a while after lunch!
綠葉方舟Green Ark
這裡不只是一家法義美食料理餐館，而是一個森林家園，這裡是人類與黑冠麻鷺、綠繡眼、畫眉、松鼠、蝴蝶、螢火蟲、甲蟲、蜻蜓等等蟲魚鳥獸和平共存的區域。二樓的戶外用餐區，被一片樹林圍繞，涼快又清爽。

Great place to spend an afternoon. There's even a hiking path on the grounds. (Probably a 15 min hike around the perimeters).This place is also very pet friendly.Food is soso and pricey but the staff are friendly.I would definitely return but would skip the food and just order drinks instead.

An amazing place, with Amazing food.The lamb and pork knuckle was perfect. I was surprised by the number of lamb portions for the price. I think it's a good deal.Will definitely come back again. It's not that often you find a place that looks nice and the food is astounding as well. 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽

Nice place to stop for coffee and walk in their very nicely maintained garden. Had a nice meeting and coffee there - truely got me in the “flow” probably got 4 hrs of work done in 2 hrs lol!

A very well-decorated and maintained restaurant with a lot of green around for dogs to run around. If you need a place for your dog to run around, this is definitely a must visit. The owner is a really nice guy, and the environment is amazing for children and dogs. The food is pretty good, but the prices are slightly expensive.

Very good place for enjoying a relaxing natural environment. Good place for watching fireflies in spring. The restaurant is surprisingly good. Yes, much better than some well-known Italian restaurant in Taipei.

It’s located in 苗栗 @Taiwan. It takes for about 90mins from Taipei by 台灣高鉄 and Taxi. Green Ark in the forest🌳Everything’s are so lovely. Location,food,hospitality,and staff are excellent!

A place to enjoy meals in green relaxed environment. The steak was tender and tasty. And the pork knuckle with crispy skin outside and juicy inside. Definitely I will go again for the meal and appreciate the flower bloom in different seasons.

位在山腰上的景觀餐廳，半開放式的用餐空間，一吸一呼間都能感受芬芳氣息，在座位上可遠眺可見大雪山山脈，隨著氣溫下降霧氣瀰漫整個山嶺，彷彿置身仙境。這裡除了有絕美景致，主廚田媽媽的客家料理也是一絕，特別推薦香薑雞、薑爆蝦等「薑」系列料理。

Beautiful place, close to nature.Picked our strawberries here. Actually the most expensive strawberries around, but they are certified organic hence the price. They have a patch of strawberries just for the wildlife's consumption, while protecting the rest (for picking) with a net.After picking strawberries, we went for lunch in their restaurant. We were served some strawberries and an interesting tasting, refreshing tea (not sure what but I now I regret not asking what it was). Food is ginger-themed Hakka dishes. Love the 起飛雲朵 (Hakka-style Cloud Noodle Soup) and the 薑燒魚 (Ginger Braised... Fish).Definitely will come here again and this time we will stay there for the night.read more

Nice place to chill when it’s not so crowded. Very windy and not so hot on a summer hot day while outside is well above above 30 degree Celsius. A bit pricey but the service is great!
